Anti-Waste Law: Main Measures.
It is a law, related to anti-waste for a circular economy, that was adopted in the Senate on January 30, 2020.

Creation of Polluter Pays sector :
Firstly, professionals will finance the management of their waste, from 2022 for construction materials (BTP), toys, sports and leisure articles, DIY and gardening articles; and from 2021, for cigarette butts, then in 2024, for pre-soaked wipes for personal and household use.
Also, the wild waste deposits will be penalized with a fixed penalty of 1,500 euros, all those measures are applied according to the Polluter Pays Principle.
Plastic hunting :
Secondly, on first January 2023, all plastic products or single-use plastic containers for meals, and toys plastic, will be over. As well as, products made from “oxo-degradable” plastic which, by fragmenting, contributes to ocean pollution.
As far as cash receipts are concerned, by the interdiction, this will concern transactions below 10 euros from 2020, from 20 euros on first January 2021, then below 30 euros on first January 2022.
Unsold items needs to be reuse :
Thirdly, the text bans the destruction of unsold new non-food items, creates an obligation to reuse or recycle them (including donation).
Another point is that first necessities products, especially hygiene, need to be donated, not recycled
Creation of a re-employment fund of up to 30 million euros intended for recyclers, resources and other structures of the solidarity economy, even for private companies, subordinate to conditions.
